DIME JANESKI 

(1952-2016)


(President of CSLU-Prilep 2002-2015)

Born on October 15, 1952, he began and finished his education in Macedonia, as a graduate Art Historian. From the very beginning, he has been an active collaborator in the Center for Contemporary Fine Arts - Prilep and already in 1980 he became Secretary General until 2001, when he officially took the lead as president. The difficult social periods during its activity have not spared the Center in the last 20 years, but thanks to the persistence, fighting spirit and justice, as well as the love for art, mixed with the strong character and spirit of our Dime, today the Center can be proud. on its continuity of 64 years of existence and creation of contemporary art of high quality.
 
Despite the difficult conditions for survival, Dime does not forget about the development of the Center, despite the management of the constant initiatives from the previous "International Painting Colony", "International Sculpture Symposium - Marble", "International Studio for Plastic in Wood" and occasional art photography workshops. mosaic, stained glass, graphics, ceramics (developed over the years), he also founded: "International atelier for graphics", "International atelier for mosaic", "International atelier for metal sculpture", as well as a kind of rare representative not only in our country , but also more broadly "International Plastics in Plastics Studio".
 
He manages the Center until 2015, but despite leaving the managerial position, he remains and acts as a member of the Board until his untimely death on 08.07.2015.
 
Janeski with his commitment to the working life in the Center for Contemporary Fine Arts - Prilep, actively developed the fine arts (painting, sculpture and new forms), by taking responsibility for 30 years of management of CSLU (from a total of 64 years of the Colony , as the oldest in Southeast Europe).
 
Managing the Center, initially with Dr. Bosko Babic, and then until the end of his life with his wife Gordana Babic Janeska, brought to Prilep and Macedonia over 3,000 artists from around the world, who know Prilep as the little finger , and came from all continents - from New Zealand, through Japan, to Chile and Canada, from Egypt to all European countries.
