For us

The main culprits for our existence today are Prof. Dr. Bosko Babic and the academic painter Prof. Risto Lozanovski and their idea and desire to introduce fine arts in the environment in which we live. The idea was born in the fall of 1956, to finally be realized in 1957, with the establishment of the Center for Contemporary Fine Arts and within it the first art event in Prilep, now one of the oldest art colonies in the Balkans and Southeast Europe, is developing with over the years to eventually become a reputable social organization in the country and abroad.
 

The collections of CSLU in Prilep provide a selection of various exhibitions in the field of painting and sculpture disciplines. the treasury in Prilep. In addition to creating, the communication and socializing of artists from different cultural backgrounds and our friendly attitude towards  artists and the presentation of  the treasures of the Republic of Macedonia that will be remembered.
 

This gives us the right to say that art studios in this remarkable creative environment, allow experimentation and research in order to come up with something new, which will be included in the general painting streams and will be part of the world contemporary art, contributing to the local its development. The works from this treasury always arouse great interest in the public.
 

During our existence we strive to increase the consumers of the cultural product, as well as to recruit new consumers among the young population, and we strive for full protection of cultural facilities.
